August Recents!!

Here are some recent shots from the last month or so.  I'm slowing down in how much I shoot. I have my eyes on a new lens however that will put an end to my roadblock of interesting photos. It's a super wide angle and fast Fstop lens, the Tokina 11-16mm 2.8 ... I'm stoked!

Updates of Grand!

Howwwwwwdy!  Yeah it's been awhile since I've posted some pictures, but that doesn't mean I haven't been snapping away like a fool.  I guess it's just been too hot in my house for me to take any length of time to sit down at the computer and share photos. Seriously - it's anywhere from 90 - 97 degrees IN my house every day these days. Crazyness!  I wrote a blog a few nights ago that had every photo I've taken in the last few months, but it was WAY to long and even I lost interest, so I am going to post photos bit by bit on an adventure to adventure basis.  I'ts been  a great few months though, I've made it to Steamboat, and out hiking in the mountains, I've ridden in hot air balloons, I've been working at incredible Walker Ranch, and even just recently I witnessed the start and scary fast growth of a forest fire!!

2012 Solar Eclipse

It's going to be another 5 years before I get to see one of these bad boys again.  I didn't really have any high hopes of being able to photograph the event until I realized that my Infrared filters work perfectly for staring directly into the sun!  The weather didn't seem like it was going to cooperate, but to my surprise the clouds broke enough to not only view the eclipse, but provide an erie apocalyptic sky.  I can't wait until the 2017 eclipse to try these shots again!

Hot Air Bloon Festival

Hey! I'm going to make this a quick post, because I got up WAY to early to go catch the 2012 Hot Air Balloon Festival in Erie, CO.  It was supposed to happen yesterday but it got rained out.  This morning however the weather was PERFECT!
